Additional Notes
- The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage uses 6.5 inch speakers in both front and rear door panels, which allows for matched size replacements throughout the vehicle's door locations.
- Each door panel position accepts either midbass or full-range speaker types, giving flexibility in component selection based on whether a separate tweeter system is planned or if a single speaker solution is preferred.
- Midbass speakers typically handle mid and low frequencies when paired with separate tweeters for highs, while full-range speakers attempt to reproduce the entire frequency spectrum from a single cone design.
- The factory radio cavity supports both single DIN and double DIN head unit sizes, which may influence speaker upgrade decisions if source unit replacement is being considered simultaneously.
- Upgrading from factory speakers to aftermarket 6.5 inch components could provide improvements in bass response, midrange clarity, and overall volume handling capabilities depending on the specific models selected.
- The uniform 6.5 inch sizing across all door positions simplifies the replacement process since identical or similar speaker models can be installed throughout rather than sourcing multiple size variants.
